COVID Guidelines

Your Safety is Important to Us

We are committed to providing a safe treatment environment. We follow the guidelines set forth by state and national health authorities and take focused measures to protect your health and ours.

Steps We Are Taking

  • We only treat one patient at a time and surfaces are wiped down with a hospital-grade disinfectant between patients.
  • Practitioners must wear a mask during the entire appointment, per state guidelines.
  • Practitioners wash and sanitize hands and tools frequently, according to our national Clean Needle Technique certification requirements.

What We Ask of You

  • Stay home and reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any of the early Covid symptoms listed by the CDC (fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell, etc.).
  • Arrive on time for your appointment, but please don’t arrive early. This reduces patient traffic and potential exposure. If New Patients are unable to complete required paperwork online before your appointment, you are welcome to come slightly early to complete paperwork.
  • Patients must wear a mask during the entire appointment, per state guidelines.
  • Please do not ‘drop in’. Book an appointment online or call to schedule.
  • If possible, arrive to your appointment alone. According to health recommendations, we aim to keep the waiting area empty.

Sent in anticipation of President Nixon’s landmark visit to China, Reston had received acupuncture and moxibustion for post-surgery pain. He wrote of his positive experience and a nation-wide curiosity ensued!

East Asian Medicine and the Bloated Belly

If you were a fly on the wall in my clinic while I interviewed patients, you might think there is a bloating epidemic in America!  During the intake process I ask patients if they experience discomfort after eating, and more times than not I receive the answer, “Yes, I get bloated.”
